PRESS OFFICER – Min. 8 hours a week (per person) | Two volunteers needed

Our Press Office is a busy place, with all our Press Releases and interactions with the media going through our Press Team email address. We are looking for two volunteers to help search the Internet for relevant articles about homelessness, write Press Releases and be a point of contact.

You don’t need previous experience of writing Press Releases however you should be a good persuasive writer and able to spread out the 8 hours over the week. Training, continual support and advice when needed will be given by Hugo Sugg – who will be your go-to person and supervisor. There is no location base to this role.

You will be able to gain a reference from the Campaign to help future employment or education applications.

If you are interested in this volunteering opportunity or want more information before making a decision, please email Hugo direct on hugo@hugosearthquake.org.

CAMPAIGN HUB LEADERS – Variable hours, please enquire

Campaign Hubs are the locality of the Campaign in different geographical areas. Each area of the UK has a different pattern and level of homeless services, and so a localised approach and Campaign is needed. Campaign Hub Leaders are really important as they lead our work and spread our messages.

A Hub Leader is the point of contact in that locality to know what services exist for the homeless, or those threatened with homelessness. The role of a Hub Leader is to research local services, have knowledge of commissioning and, build a team and campaign around you in which you run.

This role sounds huge, and it is, but be assured that full training and support is given at a pace to suit you. It is long term role with hours to fit around your schedule. If you are wanting to find out more, please email emily@hugosearthquake.org who is our Worcester City Hub Leader.

This role is all about governance and helping to set us up as an official UK Charity. To find out more please click here, or fill out the contact form below:
